What’s Riiv anyway?
The name Riiv (rīv) comes from the word rive, which means to violently split apart.*

to divide into pieces or fractions
The world is changing at a rapid rate, and we're here to make sense of what this disruption looks like. Some disruption is predictable because it's happened before. Other disruptions are new and will create entire industries from nothing.

Who is Riiv?
Travis Hoium - I've analyzed businesses since 2010 for The Motley Fool. This project allows me to explore projects and business models outside of the public stocks we cover on TMF. There's a whole world of development in Web3, from the single-person NFT project to the media studio being funded by NFTs, that I think more people need to hear about.
The Team - I often use "we" instead of "I" because no one really does anything alone. I have friends who help with art and my wife is the editor extraordinaire and my daily sounding board/reality check, so this is a project that "we" are creating together, even if these voices don't have a byline.
